Kerala: Women and children who are unable to lodge a complaint at the police station for various reasons can still lodge complaints in police shelter vehicles near their homes.
The new scheme the police has brought forth is for those who are unable to travel without assistance, the sick, the living conditions of the homeless and the children. A team comprising one female police officer and two women police officers will arrive at selected locations six days a week to receive complaints. This project was implemented by the Kerala Police as a part of celebrating the 2020 Women’s Safe Year. The new scheme is aimed at enhancing the confidence of impoverished and impoverished women and enabling them to make their complaints without fear.
