Ramamurthynagar police have solved a murder case of a 56-year-old widow Badrunnisa by arresting her daughter in-law. The incident was reported on Monday and Rs 2 lakh and three gold chains were stolen. The accused has been identified as Nasiara Begum, (35-years), works as a teacher in a montessori. Begum, a resident of Hebbal was married to Imam, son of Badrunnisa a few years ago. The family currently staying in a rented house in Subramanya Layout in Ramamurthynagar. Badrunnisa arranged money and bought 3 gold chains for the marriage of her younger daughter Ayesha and it was scheduled in next month, according to a senior police officer said that. The accused Begum who came to know that hatched a plot to kill Badrunnisa and she wanted to pay 3 lakh to the house owner as the couple wanted to take the house for lease. On Monday Begum left Montessori around 9am while her husband Imam, a businessman left for work after dropping their children. She returned home around 10.40am and attacked Badrunnisa with a knife and slit her throat. Then she locked the house from outside and again left to Montessori. When Imam came home for lunch at 1.30pm he found her mother laying in a pool of blood and alerted the police. The police while conducting spot mahazar had found injury marks on Begum’s hands and victim’s daughter Ayesha had alleged that Begum’s role behind the crime in her complainant. Begum was taken into custody and during the interrogation she confessed to the crime and revealed she killed Badrunnisa without other’s help. She wanted money to pay lease of the house. Begum had stolen gold jewels a few months ago and the family did not file a case, investigations show.
