Dewas: Every year the Home Ministry of the Government of India evaluates all the police stations in the country and selects the ten best police stations. In the same sequence, in the year 2023, Police Station Civil Line, District Dewas has been selected among the 10 best police stations of the country. After evaluation based on crime prevention, law and order situation, disposal of old cases, community policing, conviction of crimes and field survey, Police Station Civil Line, District Dewas has been ranked tenth out of 16955 police stations across the country. This was announced by the Bureau of Police Research and Development (BPRD) at the All India Director General of Police Conference, New Delhi. DGP Mr. Sudhir Kumar Saxena, who came to participate in the said conference, gave this information. Expressing happiness over this achievement, DGP Mr. Sudhir Kumar Saxena congratulated Dewas District Superintendent of Police Mr. Sampat Upadhyay and all the staff. He has given instructions to the Superintendents of Police to make other police stations of Madhya Pradesh also excellent. *Evaluation is done on the basis of annual records and field survey: Mr. Chanchal Shekhar, ADG, State Crime Records Bureau (SCRB) said that the best police stations are selected by the Ministry of Home Affairs, Government of India. First of all, 100 police stations of the country were selected on the basis of crime statistics and resolution of crimes related to women, weaker sections, property crimes and efforts to identify missing and unidentified bodies. After evaluation, 3 best police stations from Madhya Pradesh Dindori, Datia and Dewas were selected. Out of this, Police Station Civil Line, Dewas was selected. At the national level, Police Station Civil Line, District Dewas secured tenth position among all the police stations in the country. All the selected police stations are evaluated on the basis of their annual records and field survey. In which prevention of crimes, law and order situation, disposal of old cases, community policing, conviction of crimes and evaluation is done by interrogating people, businessmen and complainants of the police station area by an independent team selected by the Home Ministry.
