Dindigul: In Dindigul district, near Nilakottai, commendations are pouring in for the police officers who swiftly transported accident victims using a highway patrol vehicle, bypassing the wait for the 108 ambulance. The incident occurred on the Madurai-bound road, where two two-wheelers collided near Bharat Petroleum Bunk, leaving individuals with severe injuries. Promptly, onlookers contacted the 108 ambulance service. However, before its arrival, constables Vijay and Gangatharan from the Ammainayakanur highway patrol took immediate action, transporting the injured to Nilakottai Government Hospital in their patrol vehicle. The public is expressing deep gratitude for the humane efforts of these two officers who efficiently rescued and admitted the seriously injured individuals to the government hospital, foregoing the wait for the 108 ambulance. Both officers were visibly displeased by the dampness in their khaki shirts.
