<![CDATA[In the early hours of Monday at around 7AM when a traffic police sub-inspector Mr. Shyam Sunder and a constable Mr. Saravanan were on duty near the MTC depot in Poonamalee they spotted a car coming towards the traffic Police Sub Inspector, Mr. Shyam Sunder and he grew suspicious and both chased the car and seized nearly one tonne of gutkha that was being smuggled from Bengaluru to Chennai near Poonamalee on Monday morning. After intercepting the car the police personal nabbed the driver of the car but the other person managed to escape. The driver was identified as Ramesh and on checking the car there were boxes that contained gutkha inside. The gutkha was seized which weighed 1 Ton. . The registration number of the car was also fake. Ramesh was arrested by the Poonamalee police.]]>
