Ongole: Illegal liquor bottles seized across Prakasam district were destroyed on Wednesday in the presence of SP Ms. Malika Garg IPS. Ongole carried out an operation to destroy illegal liquor bottles under the National Highway flyover bridge on the southern bypass of the city.
A large number of liquor bottles seized within the confines of various police stations and SEB police stations in the district were trampled and destroyed by road rollers. A total of 42,810 bottles worth Rs.2.14 crore were destroyed, of which 88,000 bottles were smashed by police with a road roller.
