Prakasam, Andhra Pradesh: The Prakasam District Police received high praise from Superintendent of Police Sri A. R. Damodar, IPS, for successfully coordinating and executing security arrangements during the visit of Hon’ble Deputy Chief Minister Sri Pawan Kalyan to Markapuram on Friday. The Deputy CM visited the region to lay the foundation stone for a major Drinking Water Scheme under the Jal Jeevan Mission, with an estimated investment of ₹1,290 crores.
Upon arrival at the helipad arranged on the Markapuram–Tarlupadu Road, the District SP warmly welcomed the Hon’ble Deputy Chief Minister by presenting a flower plant, reflecting a gesture of green hospitality.
A comprehensive security plan was implemented to ensure a smooth and peaceful visit. The District SP emphasized that meticulous coordination and execution by the police ensured there were no untoward incidents throughout the event. Following the successful conclusion of the Deputy CM’s program, a debriefing meeting was held at the Markapuram DSP Office.

During the meeting, SP Sri Damodar extended special appreciation to the duty personnel across all departments — including traffic police, women police, home guards, communication staff, bomb squad, dog squad, and others — for their dedication and discipline in managing the high-profile visit. He stressed the importance of detailed planning and teamwork in executing complex operations successfully.
“The seamless coordination among departments and the professional conduct of all officers and staff played a vital role in the peaceful completion of the event,” said SP Damodar, who also expressed gratitude to officials from allied departments for their cooperation.
Among those who took part in the operations and debriefing session were Additional SP (Admin) Nageswara Rao, Markapuram DSP Nagaraju, Ongole DSP R. Srinivasarao, Darshi DSP Lakshmi Narayana, Kanigiri DSP Sai Eshwar Yeswant, AR DSP Srinivas Rao, along with CIs, RIs, SIs, and field personnel.
