Bengaluru City, Karnataka: The prestigious President’s Medal Investiture Ceremony 2025 was held today at Raj Bhavan, Bengaluru, in a grand function graced by Hon’ble Governor Shri Thaawarchand Gehlot, who presented the medals on behalf of the Hon’ble President of India. The ceremony was attended by Hon’ble Chief Minister Shri Siddaramaiah and Hon’ble Home Minister Dr. G. Parameshwara.
A total of 106 police officers and personnel from across Karnataka were honored for their dedication, discipline, and distinguished service to the nation. They were conferred with the President’s Police Distinguished Service Medal, Police Commendable Service Medal, and Union Home Minister’s Medals (Republic Day & Independence Day 2022–23).
Among the proud recipients was Bengaluru City Police Commissioner Shri Seemant Kumar Singh, IPS, who, along with 12 personnel from the Bengaluru City Police, received the honor. Their recognition reflects the exemplary efforts of BCP in maintaining law and order, ensuring public safety, and upholding the highest standards of policing in the city.
Speaking on the occasion, dignitaries lauded the role of the police in safeguarding democracy, maintaining peace, and serving with courage and integrity despite numerous challenges. The honors were described as a fitting tribute to the selfless service and sacrifices of Karnataka’s police force.
The ceremony not only celebrated the achievements of the awardees but also inspired police personnel across the state to continue serving with commitment, discipline, and a spirit of public service.
