Chandigarh: Gearing up for the festival season, while you celebrate, we are here to keep you safe. To report anything suspicious during festival season, Dial 112 or 181, said Punjab Police.
Further, the Punjab Police have given the tips to be followed to stay safe during the festival season:
Be aware of your surroundings. Don’t touch any unclaimed object.
Be careful while accepting drinks or other eatables from strangers.
If you suspect an immediate danger, whether it is suspicious behavior, a package, or a vehicle move away and call 112 or 181.
Pay attention to your surroundings when using electronics on the streets. Don’t walk and text.
Don’t take lifts from strangers. Only use licensed taxis or call a friend.
Avoid online shopping through pop-up ads as they may be phishing scams or contain malware.
