Chhattisgarh, Raigarh: Pussore police, taking prompt action on the rape report lodged by the woman, today arrested the accused Nehru Khadia (56 years) and sent him on judicial remand. According to the incident, the victim told the police that she was sitting in the shade outside her house at around 6:30 pm yesterday evening due to ill health, when the accused Nehru Khadia reached there and forcibly took her to the street and did bad things with her. When the woman shouted, the people nearby reached there, after which the accused fled from there. On the basis of the woman’s complaint, the police have registered a criminal case under Section 64 (1) BNS. Taking immediate action, Pusaur police arrested the accused Nehru Khadia and sent him on judicial remand after completing the necessary legal procedures. Pusaur police station in-charge Inspector Rohit Banjare, Assistant Sub Inspector Manmohan Bairagi, female head constable Jenipa Panna and constable Mahesh Chauhan have played an important role in taking immediate action in crimes related to women.
