Rachakonda: On credible information, the sleuths of Special Operations Team (SOT), LB Nagar Zone team along with Meerpet police busted an interstate drug syndicate by apprehending one interstate drug peddler named by Parasmal alias Paras Seervi (30) and seized Contraband Substance (Opium) 1 Kg and other incriminating material all worth Rs.30,29,000/- from his possession. A case was registered at Meerpet Police Station of Rachakonda Police Commissionerate. The absconding accused is Deepak Owner of Shourya Pandit Deva Hotel, Neemuch, Madhya Pradesh.
The Police seized the following materials: Contraband Substance (Opium) 1Kg, Poppy Straw-5.2Kgs, Poppy Straw Powder-2 Kgs, Mobile Phones-1 No., Net Cash Rs.19,000/-, Weighing Machine-1 No., Packing covers-50 Nos., Hero Motor Cycle Bearing registration No. TS-08-EW-5078.
As part of proactive action against drug peddlers, secret information was received by SOT, LB Nagar Zone, Rachakonda. On receipt of the same the SOT team along with Meerpet police acted swiftly, conducted raid and apprehended one person. On interrogation before the mediator, he was identified as Parasmal S/o. R. Sohanlal, age: 30 years, resident of Pali district, Rajasthan state.
During interrogation, the accused Parasmal alias Paras Seervi confessed that he is running a tours & travels in the name and style as Seervi Travels which is located at LB Nagar and Kachiguda. He further stated that recently he came in contact with one Deepak Owner of Shourya Pandit Deva Hotel. Neemuch, Madhya Pradesh. During conversation Deepak promised to supply the contraband substance Opium and told that huge amount can be easily earned by selling it to needy persons.
About 5 days back he went to Neemuch, Madhya Pradesh in his Seervi travel bus Bearing registration No. RJ-27-PC-0041, procured contraband narcotic substance (Opium) for Rs.1,30.000/- per kilogram, poppy straw for Rs.50, 000/- per kilogram and retuned in about 3 days in RJ-27-PC-0014. He prepared the poppy straw powder at his house and kept ready along with opium for sale at Rs.8 to 10 lakhs poppy straw powder at Rs.3.00,000/-.
Thereafter, a search on the house of the accused person was conducted as per provisions of NDPS Act, during search the Contraband Narcotic substance was recovered from his possession at his instance. As per physical characteristics, the seized contraband substance appears to be Opium weighing 1 Kg / Substance (Opium). Poppy Straw & Powder and other incriminating material were recovered from his residence at his instance.
On 3.6.2022 at morning hours, the arrest of the accused has been made at his house at Aditya Nagar. Meerpet, mode entries in all concerned records and he is being produced before the Hon’ble court for judicial remand. Efforts are afoot to trace out the source Deepak and the customers.
