Rachakonda, Telangana, October 21: On the occasion of Police Martyrs’ Commemoration Day, Rachakonda Police Commissioner Sri Sudheer Babu, IPS, paid rich tributes to the brave police personnel who made the supreme sacrifice in the line of duty. The solemn ceremony was held at the Police Martyrs’ Stupa located at the Amberpet CAR Headquarters, where the Commissioner, accompanied by DCPs, ACPs, officers, and staff, offered floral tributes to the martyrs.
Speaking on the occasion, CP Sudheer Babu said that the sacrifices of police martyrs are invaluable and can never be forgotten by the nation. “The police personnel who laid down their lives while protecting the people are true heroes of our society. Their dedication and courage continue to inspire generations,” he said.
He assured that the Police Department will always stand by the families of the martyrs, extending full support and empathy. The Commissioner also expressed deep condolences to the bereaved families and reiterated that remembering the sacrifices of the martyrs is the collective duty of every citizen.
As a mark of respect, family members of 16 police martyrs who lost their lives while serving in the Rachakonda Commissionerate were honored. The Commissioner personally interacted with them, took note of their concerns, and assured them that the police fraternity would always remain their extended family.
Blood Donation Camp in Memory of Martyrs
To mark the occasion, a blood donation camp was organized at the Amberpet CAR Headquarters, inaugurated by CP Sudheer Babu, IPS. Hundreds of officers and staff from across the Rachakonda Police Commissionerate participated enthusiastically, donating blood as a tribute to the fallen heroes.
“By donating blood in memory of our martyrs, we are offering a true tribute to their selfless service. This is not just an act of remembrance—it is a seva yajna, a noble service to society,” said the Commissioner.
Prominent officers including Malkajgiri DCP Padmaja, IPS, LB Nagar DCP Smt. Anuradha, IPS, DCP Crimes Arvind Babu, DCP Admin Indira, DCP Women Safety Usharani, DCP Maheshwaram Sunitha Reddy, DCP Traffic–1 Srinivas, DCP Traffic–2 Srinivasulu, DCP Cyber Crimes Nagalakshmi, DCP Road Safety Manohar, DCP Headquarters Shyamasunder, Additional DCPs, ACPs, and other officers participated in large numbers, reflecting the spirit of unity and respect for the brave martyrs.
