The victim Bathula Srinivas Reddy from Danmaiguda has uploaded his resume in an online Job portal “SHINE.COM”, After which in the month of January 2021, the victim responded to some phone calls & emails from the accused persons who made him transfer a total amount of Rs.68.705 through online links and accounts provided by the accused persons towards various fees charges for getting a job in an MNC company. After collecting the said amounts, the accused stopped responding to his calls and messages and thus cheated him. In a similar manner they also cheated another victim R.Sampath Reddy of Yapral in on the pretext of providing him an overseas job and collected an amount Rs. 1,05,000/-from him.
Cyber Crime PS. Rachakonda arrested Vijay Tyagi (35) residing at Ghaziabad, Purnima Ganguly (40) residing at New Delhi, Bhuvan Chandra Bhatt (32), residing at Delhi, Amith Chowhan (26), residing at Noida. 5 Mobile Phones, 17 Laptops were Seized.
The accused with the help of some Tele-callers operating a call Centre in the name of “HT Media from New Delhi, gather resumes of innocent job-seekers uploaded on their job portal “SHINE.COM”. Initially they make the victims transfer small amounts to their bank accounts/e wallets citing as registration charges. Once the victims pay the said registration charges, they immediately contact the victim impersonating as recruiting officers of some XMNC company. they conduct Telephonic interviews and send fake offer appointment letters to the victims through emails. Further they make the victims to pay huge money citing various reasons such as “CV highlighting charges, online course training charges, mock Interview charges, service charges, Bank account opening charges, Security Deposit charges, visa charges etc.
Netizens and Job aspirants are advised not to transfer any money amounts and fall prey to such telephonic whats app email communications received from onlime job portals (SHINE.COM). One has to verify the genuineness of such telephonic calls whatsapp calls/messages.
Under the direct supervision and leadership of Sri. Mahesh M Bhagwat, IPS, Commissioner of Police and Sri.Sudheer babu IPS Addl.Commissioner of Police Rachakonda with the guidance of Sri. P.Yadagiri, DCP Crimes and Sri. S. Harinath, Asst. Commissioner of Police the case investigated by Inspector Sri. N.Ramu of Cyber Crimes and apprehended the accused.
