Rachakonda: In an effort to root out organized Human trafficking networks in the limits of Rachakonda Commissionerate and to create a sense of safety and security among the family system, College going students, and youth not to fall into the trafficking network, C.P. Rachakonda invoked the PD Act against one human trafficking gang member for organizing prostitution in the limits of Saroornagar Police Station of Rachakonda Commissionerate and detained him in Central Prison, Cherlapally on 03.11.2021.
The accused Bodapati Sudheer(31), hailed from Khammam District, Telangana State. He along with one Bangladesh National by the name of Moyna Akter formed a Gang and they used to post girls’ photos on the “LOCANTO website with their phone numbers offering online and offline sexual pleasures with young girls. On bookings, he sends them to the customer’s places and also allows male customers to his places for their sexual pleasures for his pecuniary benefits to make easy money in a short period. They are exploiting women who were very poor or not have family members, deserted lonely ladies, poor laborers, women under severe depression and inducing them with high return of income and trafficking, forcing them into prostitution and thereby victimizing those who were already victimized in their life tenure. Thus, the poor and gullible women are forced to live in a feeling of insecurity in the hands of these unscrupulous immoral traffic offenders. They accept amounts either through e-wallet or by hand from the customers.
On credible information, Saroornagar Police laid a decoy operation wherein he along with his associate Moyna Akter were apprehended on 17.5.2021 and remanded to judicial custody. The kingpin of this Human trafficking racket by the name Moyna Akter has been already detained under PD Act and lodged in Women jail, Chanchelguda, Hyderabad. Now, with a view to prevent the accused from indulging in human trafficking and to preserve public order, Mr. Mahesh M Bhagwat IPS, Commissioner of Police, Rachakonda invoked an order of detention under PD Act against him and lodged in Central prison, Cherlapally on 03.11.2021.
