Rachakonda: On 09.01.2022 at afternoon hours, acting on specific information, the sleuths of Special Operations Team [SOT), Bhongir Zone along with Ramannapet police. apprehended four interstate drug peddlers; Vadthyavath Tirupathi(27), Vadthyavath Kalyan(19), Panchavath Ravinder alias Ravi(24), and Pathlavath Manktha(25) and seized 294 Kilograms of Ganja, Mahindra Marazzo, Swift Dzire car, and Two Mobile Phones and Net Cash Rs.8,500/- all worth Rs.43.85,000/- from their possession. A case was registered at Ramannapet Police Station of Rachakonda Police Commissionerate.
The Police seized Ganja 294 KGS, Net Cash Rs.8,500/-, Mahindra Marazzo transport vehicle Br. No. TS 07 UG 8017, Maruthi Swift Dzire Car Bearing Registration No. TS 07 UE 9273 5, and 2 Mobile Phones. The total worth of seized property is Rs.43, 85,000/-
The accused Vadthyavath Tirupathi and Vadthyavath Kalyan are their own brothers, Pathlavath Manktha is a distant relative and Panchavath Ravinder alias Ravi all are friends. Vadthyavath Tirupathi was earlier involved in Excise Act in the limits of Kalwakurthi in the year 2020. After that, he was doing cab driver in Meeru App service work as Shamshabad Airport to Hyderabad City, in which one year back he purchased a Maruthi Swift Dezire Car Bearing Registration No: TS 07 UE 9273 from one Srinu, the residence of Thurkayamjal in finance basis and doing his work. In a while, the government conducted lockdown in view of COVID due to which he didn’t get work and was struggling financially. Due to his financial crushes, he decided to smuggle the Ganja in the Telanga state which was banned by the government to fulfill his financial crushes, about 25 days back he was engaged by an unknown person of Maharastra state for driving and went to Rampachodavaram of Andhra Pradesh state, in an Innova vehicle where the owner of Innova vehicle purchased the ganja from Bapuji alias Buchibabau and delivered in Hyderabad for which he got Rs.20,000/- for his driving. At that time the Ganja smuggler Bapuji alias Buchi Babu got introduced to him and advised Vadthyavath Tirupathi to do the Ganja business to get more benefits, meantime Vadthyavath Tirupathi collected the phone number of Bapuji alias Buchibabau who is still continuing in dry Ganja Business and decided to smuggle the dry Ganja to earn easy money, he purchasing the dry Ganja 2 kg packet at an amount of Rs.2000/- in Agency Rampachodavaram and selling the same in Telangana for an amount of Rs.10,000/- per 2 kg packet, he hatched a plan with his friends Pathlavath Manktha, Panchavath Ravinder alias Ravi and his brother Vadthyavath Kalyan to earn money in easy and illegal by selling Ganja for this, they contributed and secured an amount of Rs.1,20,000/-.
Likewise, as per their plan on 07.01.2022, they all took one Mahindra Marazzo vehicle bearing registration No. TS 07 UG 8017 on rent basis from one Pathlavath Raju who is the brother of Panchavath Ravinder alias Ravi and took the shift Dzier car bearing registration No. TS 07 UE 9273 of Vadthyavath Tirupathi and proceeded to Rampachodavaram of Andhra Pradesh state, and purchased the Dry Ganja from Babuji a Buchi Babu and Karam Surendra Dara total of 294 Kgs contains 147 packets of dry Ganja with an amount of Rs.1,00.000/-. The remaining amount is Rs. 2,00,000/- will be given to A-5 after selling the Ganja at Hyderabad. Accordingly, on 08.01.2022 in the mid-night, they loaded the Ganja 147 packets in Mahindra Marazzo vehicle bearing No. TS 07 UG 8017 and left from there with the escorting of shift Dzier car bearing No. TS 07 UE 9273 and proceeded towards Hyderabad side, when they reached Tollplaza Choutuppal they observed a police check post at Tollplaza, to escape the check post they proceeded towards Ramannapet side and was apprehended by Ramannapet police.
