Rachakonda: The SOT, Bhongir Zone team and Bhongir Town Police, have jointly nabbed the interstate Fake Babas/Sadhus Gang who were cheating and threatening innocent public in the guise of Blagic Magic and collected huge amounts through Hawala. A case was registered of Drugs and Magic remidies act. Objectionable advertisement Act-1954 of Bhongir town Police Station.
Motive:-
The accused persons are moving in the localities in disguise manner in the name of Baba /Saadhu’s and in search of the persons with mental disabilities, and confusing them that they are having some Doshaas such as Sarpadosham, Nagadosham etc., and in the name of performing Occult Poojas thereby collecting huge amount through Hawala and threatening about their life threat etc.. Name of the Victim is Mr. Kondal Reddy S/o Manga Reddy age: 53 years, resident of Ramakrishnapuram Village, Bhongiri Mandal, Yadadri Bhongiri District.
On 29.11.2020 the victim Kondal Reddy while returning from the agriculture fields to his home, suddenly a snake came across his motor cycle due to which he lost his balance fell down and sustained injuries. On 6.12.2020 when he was at his business place (transport office) the accused Sanju Nath and Ghorakhnath went to his office for collection of biksha, on seeing him they enquired about the cause of injuries. The victim Kondal Reddy narrated the incident. By taking advantage of his innocence the accused Sanjunath and Ghorakhnath put him under pressure and stated that he is having Sarpa dosha and to come to perform pooja. The victim believed their version and purchased the articles as demanded by later accused Sanjunath, and paid Rs.41,000/- for the pooja Ghorakhnath along with Ramnath, Jonnath, Govind nath and Arjunnath visited his house performed some pooja and collected Rs.41,000/- and likewise they kept him under due rest and collected an amount of rupees 37,71,000/- from the date of incident to February 2022. The accused used to speak to the victim over telephone and made him to deposit the cash at the hawala agents Punaram, Vasnaram, Prakash jota, Prakash Prajapathi, Ramesh Prajapathi who in turn transfer the money to Sanjunath and his above associates through hawala agents.
The police arrested 7 accused persons in the limits of Ghatkesar on 04.07.2022 at 18:00 hours. When they demanded the amount over phone asked to come at Ghatkesar area, police caught them tactically. The below mentioned persons 8 to 11 are not available for examination.
The accused are Ramnath(40) son of Baaghnath of Shirohi District of Rajasthan; Jonnath(33) S/o Kaaluram, resident of Kodallah village Shirohi District, Rajasthan; Govindnath(28) S/o Baaghnath, resident of Shipaganj Village, Shirohi District, Rajasthan; Arjunnath(22) S/0 Baghnath, resident of Shipaganj Village, Shirohi District, Rajasthan State; Punaram(37) S/o Devaram, Organizer resident of Machi Market Begumbazar, Hyderabad, native of Bhavali Prajapati Village, Shirohi District, Rajasthan; Vasna Ram(22) S/o Humaram, resident of Machi Market Begumbazar, Hyderabad, ative of Bhavali Village, Shirohi District Rajasthan; Prakash(27) Jota S/o JotaRam, resident of Machi Market Begumbazar, Hyderabad, native of Bhavali Village, Shirohi District Rajasthan; Prakash Jota(27) S/o JotaRam, resident of Machi Market Begumbazar, Hyderabad, native of Bhavali Village, Shirohi District Rajasthan.
The absconding accused are Sanjunath, Ghorakhnath, Prakash Prajapathi Mamaji. The property seized from the possession if the accused are Cash Rs.8, 30,000/-, Cell Phones(12 Numbers), Rudraksha Malas, Garlanda with Aghoraas, Kamandalam, Money counting machine and etc.,
The above accused persons were arrested under the direct supervision of Mr. Mahesh M Bhagwat, IPS, Commissioner of Police, Rachakonda, Mr. G. Sudheer Babu, IPS, Additional CP RCK, Mr. K.Narayana Reddy, IPS, DCP, Bhongir Zone, Mr. K.Muralidhar, DCP SOT, RCK, Mr. S.Venkat Reddy, ACP, Bhongir Division, RCK, Mr. N.Venkanna Naik, ACP, SOT, RCK, Mr. A.Ramulu, Inspector, SOT, Yadadri Bhongir Zone, Mr. B. Satyanarayana, Inspector Bhongir Town Police Station, and SOT Bhongir staff and Bhongir Town Police Station staffs.
