Rachakonda: On 26.10.2021 at morning hours, on receipt of credible information, the sleuths of SOT LB Nagar zone of Rachakonda Commissionerate busted the online/offline cricket betting under the limits of Chaithanyapuri Police Station, apprehended 5 persons including one organizer namely Bairamal Sridhar(36), Sambram Ramanjaneyulu(26) the assistant organizer, and punters Jajula Ramu Goud(43), Boinpally Chatrapathi(51) & Gouni Kalyan(40), seized the net cash Rs.14,92,500/-, 1 Laptop and 8 mobile phones from their possession. The total worth of seized property is about Rs.16,00,000/-.

Bairamal Sridhar has been running a bookstall in Koti Hyderabad. Sambram Ramanjaneyulu works at the shop of Bairamal Sridhar and he also attends all the works being entrusted by the Bairamal Sridhar. Jajula Ramu Goud, Boinpally Chatrapathi, and Gouni Kalyan are the inhabitants of Saroornagar and having well acquainted with Bairamal Sridhar. For about last one year, Bairamal Sridhar has been running online cricket betting from his residential house located in Mohan Nagar colony under the limits of Chaithanyapuri Police Station by downloading certain online cricket apps like Cricket Line Guru and Cricket Exchange’ etc., which are available in the Google Play store, and thereby earning easy money. During this illegal activity, some of the interested people including Jajula Ramu Goud, Boinpally Chatrapathi, Gouni Kalyan are also associated with Bairamal Sridhar as punters.
Actually, the above-mentioned mobile apps are meant for real-time cricket scores, in which they provide ball by ball fastest live cricket score updates of the live cricket matches. Apart from the live score updates, the name of the favorite team and prediction of the match-winning ratio is also displayed in the app. Taking that as an advantage, Bairamal Sridhar started online/offline cricket betting by his Laptop associating some of his known and interested candidates as punters.
The sleuths of SOT LB Nagar zone along with Chaithanyapuri Police raided the residential house of Bairamal Sridhar, caught them red-handed, seized the net cash Rs.14.92.500/- a Laptop and a mobile phone from the possession of Bairamal Sridhar. Whereas each mobile phone is from the possession of the accused Sambram Ramanjaneyulu, Jajula Ramu Goud, Boinpally Chatrapathi, and Gouni Kalyan. The above arrests were made under the supervision of Mr. Mahesh M Bhagwat, IPS, Commissioner of Police, Rachakonda Commissionerate, Mr. G.Sudheer Babu. IPS. Additional Commissioner of Police. Rachakonda, under the direct guidance of Mr. J.Surender Reddy, Deputy Commissioner of Police, Special Operations Team, Rachakonda, by Mr. T.
