Rachakonda: On 25.11.2021 at morning hours, acting on specific information, the sleuths of Special Operations Team SOT. LB Nagar Zone along with Abdullapurmet Police apprehended five interstate drug peddlers; Sanjay Balaji Kale, Abhiman Kalyan Pawar, Sanjay Chowgule, Bharat Kolappa Yewle, and Shek Rahidul, and seized 1820 Kilograms of Ganja, 1 Lorry, 1 Swift Dzire car. Net cash Rs.41, 000/- and 7 mobile phones, all worth about Rs.3,07,93,000/- from their possession. A case was registered at Abdullapurmet Police Station of Rachakonda Police Commissionerate.
The accused persons are Sanjay Laxman Shinde (26), Maharashtra State, (Absconding), Sanjay Balaji Kale (30) Maharashtra State, Abhiman Kalyan Pawar (49), Maharashtra State, Sanjay Chowgule (45) Maharashtra State, Bharat Kolappa Yewle (37) Maharashtra State, Shek Rahidul (27) West Bengal State.
The Police seized Ganja – 1820 KGs, Ten tire lorry bearing registration No.AP-07-TU-9349, Maruthi Swift Dzire car bearing no.MH-43-B-8202, Net Cash Rs.41.000/-, Mobile phones -7. The total worth of seized property is Rs.3,07,93,000/-.
On the instructions of Sanjay Laxman Shinde; Sanjay Balaji Kale, Abhiman Kalyan Pawar, Sanjay Chowgule, and Bharat Kolappa Yewle came to Hyderabad in Maruthi Swift Dzire car bearing registration No.MH-43-B-8202 which was engaged by Sanjay Chowgule, and Bharat Kolappa Yewle under self-driving, and were waiting at the Panthangi Toll plaza, Choutuppal. Later, as per the directions of Sanjay Laxman Shinde, when the lorry is being driven by Shek Rahidul crossed the toll plaza, they received it. After that, Sanjay Chowgule joined with Shek Rahidul in order to show him the way, whereas Sanjay Balaji Kale, Abhiman Kalyan Pawar, and Bharat Kolappa Yewle were piloting the lorry loaded with banned Narcotic Drug.
But on 25.11.2021 at morning hours, on receipt of specific information, the joint team of SOT LB Nagar Zone and staff of Abdullapurmet Police Station caught the accused Sanjay Balaji Kale, Abhiman Kalyan Pawar, Sanjay Chowgule, Bharat Kolappa Yewle, and Shek Rahidul near ORR under the limits of Abdullapurmet, seized the above said Lorry and car along with 1820 Kilograms of Ganja and other material as noted above. As per the version of the accused, they purchase the Ganja at Rs.8000/- per KG and sell it to the needy customers at Rs.15, 000/- per KG.
The above arrests were made under the supervision of Mr. Mahesh M Bhagwat, IPS., Commissioner of Police, Rachakonda. Mr. G.Sudheer Babu, IPS, Addl. Commissioner of Police, Rachakonda. Abdullapurmet Police Station, Mr. T.Ravi Kumar, Inspector of Police. SOT LB Nagar zone, Mr. T.Avinash Babu SI of Police, Mr. AA Raju SI of Police and staff of Special Operations Team, LB Nagar zone and staff of Abdullapurmet Police Station, Rachakonda.
