Rachakonda: An awareness program on “Cyber Stalking & Cyber Bullying and Trending Cyber Frauds” was organized today on 15.04.2023, at the Auditorium, TKR Institute of Engineering & Technology, Meerpet for around 500 diploma students, in coordination with Rachakonda Security Council, under the guidelines of Commissioner of Police, Rachakonda Mr. D.S Chouhan, IPS, by the Cyber Crimes, Rachakonda. Dr. B. Anuradha, IPS, DCP, Cyber Crimes, Rachakonda delivered a keynote address, urging girl students to believe in themselves, take safety measures while using mobiles and social media platforms, and avoid sharing personal information with unknown persons both online and offline, to avoid falling prey to cyber stalking and cyber bullying. She also highlighted how negligent online behavior can lead to cybercriminals harassing, blackmailing, and looting victims, and discussed various types of cyber frauds, including security checkups, fake websites, and e-commerce frauds.
Mrs. Sai Sri B, DCP, LB Nagar Zone delivered an inspirational speech on cyber stalking and cyber bullying, advised girl students on the do’s and don’ts to avoid this menace, and suggested not sharing passwords with strangers and avoiding clicking phishing links. An expert lecture was given by Jt. Secretary RKSC Mr. Anil Rachamalla, who shared tips on online safety and security, while Mr. Teegala Krishna Reddy, Chairman of TKR Institute of Engineering Technology, Mr. Purushotham Reddy, ACP Vanastalipuram, Mr. G. Venkatesham, ACP Cyber Crimes, Mr. T. Kiran Kumar, Inspector of Police, Mr. Mahender Reddy, SHO Meerpet, and Mr. Badya Naik, SI Meerpet, RKSC Chief coordinator Ms. Savithri also participated in the program. The speakers emphasized the importance of reporting cybercrimes immediately to the toll-free number 1930 or www.cybercrime.gov.in.
