Rachakonda: In an effort to root out organized Human trafficking networks, running prostitution within the limits of Rachakonda Commissionerate, and to create a sense of safety and security among the family system, College going students, and youth not to fall into trafficking network, C.P. Rachakonda invoked PD Act against Two Human Trafficking Offenders for organizing prostitution in the limits of Neredmet Police Station of Rachakonda Commissionerate and detained them in Women Prison, Chenchalguda and Cherlapally respectively on 06-12-2021.
The accused Mrs. Kolikalapuri Malleshwary hailed from AP State. About 04 years back, she came in contact with one by the name of Annavarapu Venkatalaxminarsimha and both of them hatched a plan to run a prostitution business for making quick money in a short period. In execution of their plan, they took a rental portion in Neredmet limits and procured a girl hailed from Odisha State by means of trafficking and started prostitution business with the said girl by allowing male customers to the said house. Thus, the accused are earning easy money and thereby living on the earnings of prostitution.
On tip-off information, Neredmet Police raided the house at Neha Residency, New Vidyanagar, Neredmet on 12.10.2021 and arrested the accused and rescued one Odisha state victim girl, and sent her to rescue home. The arrested accused was remanded to judicial custody.
With a view to preventing them from indulging in Human Trafficking to preserve public order, Mr. Mahesh M Bhagwat IPS, Commissioner of Police, Rachakonda invoked PD Act against them and lodged in Women Prison, Chenchalguda and Central Prison, Cherlapally respectively.
