Rachakonda, Telangana: Demonstrating strong commitment to senior citizen welfare, the Rachakonda Police Commissionerate, in association with the Rachakonda Security Council (RKSC), successfully launched the “Golden Care” programme, a flagship initiative dedicated to the care and well-being of the elderly. As part of this initiative, the 3rd Mega Free Medical Camp was organized at Lakshmi Gardens Convention Hall under the vision and guidance of Rachakonda Police Commissioner Sri Sudheer Babu, IPS.
The Police Commissioner attended the programme as the Chief Guest, lending encouragement to the noble initiative. A total of 244 senior citizens benefited from comprehensive medical services provided during the camp. Specialist doctors from GEMCARE, Palomi, Soli Eye Care, Soujanya Dental, and Maa ENT offered expert consultations in General Medicine, Cardiology, Orthopedics, Dentistry, and Ophthalmology. Essential diagnostic tests, including ECG, blood pressure, and random blood sugar tests, were conducted free of cost.
Speaking on the occasion, officials reaffirmed the Rachakonda Police Commissionerate’s unwavering dedication to the welfare, safety, and dignity of the elderly. Beneficiaries expressed heartfelt gratitude to the police department for arranging quality healthcare services under one roof through this meaningful initiative.
Senior police officers including Malkajgiri DCP Ch. Sridhar, Women Safety DCP Smt. Usha Rani, Malkajgiri Additional DCP Venkata Ramana, and Kushaiguda ACP were present. Several officers, RKSC representatives, SHOs, and SHE Team officials actively participated and ensured the smooth and successful conduct of the programme.
The Golden Care initiative stands as a commendable example of people-friendly policing, reflecting the Rachakonda Police’s proactive role in community welfare and social responsibility.
