Hyderabad, Telangana, Sept 19, 2025: The Rachakonda Police Commissionerate observed Telangana Prajapalana Day at Amberpet CAR Headquarters under the leadership of Commissioner of Police, Sri Sudheer Babu, IPS.
Addressing the gathering, CP Sudheer Babu highlighted the historical significance of the day. He recalled that while India gained independence in 1947, the Hyderabad State remained under the rule of the Nizam until the successful Operation Polo, led by Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, which enabled Hyderabad’s integration into the Indian Union on September 17, 1948. “It is for this reason that we observe this day as Telangana Prajapalana Day,” he stated.
The CP emphasized the importance of transparent governance and the role it plays in delivering benefits to the public. He urged all police personnel to dedicate themselves to public safety, peace, and effective governance, ensuring that people experience the true essence of Prajapalana (public administration).
The event was attended by senior officers including Malkajgiri DCP Padmaja IPS, LB Nagar DCP Praveen Kumar IPS, DCP Crimes Arvind Babu, DCP SOT Ramana Reddy, DCP Traffic–1 Manohar, DCP Traffic–2 Srinivasulu, DCP Cyber Crimes Nagalakshmi, DCP Women Safety Usha Vishwanath, DCP Headquarters Shyam Sundar, along with Additional DCPs, ACPs, and other officers.
