Rachakonda: On 1.7.2022 in the early morning hours, on receipt of credible information, the sleuths of Special Operations Team (SOT), LB Nagar Zone along with Bhongir rural Police nabbed one person name Makka Krishna(35) S/o Makka Narayana Rao of East Godavari District of Andhra Pradesh State N/o. Srikakulam district while he was transporting the contraband drug, Ganja from Odissa state in order to transport the same to needy persons. The Police seized 106 Kilograms of Ganja, Net cash Rs.10, 200/- and 1 mobile phone, all worth about Rs.16 Lakhs from his possession. A case was registered against the accused under NDPS ACT of Bhuvanagiri Rural Police Station. Another accused person’s name is Ramu of Orissa.

The accused Makka Krishna is resident of Chintur village, East Godavari district and making a livelihood by doing scrap business. While doing his business he came in contact with Ramu resident of Rappler village in AOB Border of Odissa state who is a Ganja peddler and having good contacts with the Ganja buyers in other states. Makka Krishna is facing financial problems and decided to earn easy money by doing illegal business of selling Ganja. Meanwhile Ramu offered him to do illegal Ganja transportation and promised to give amount Rs.20 to 30 thousand rupees as commission for transportation. Upon which Krishna accepted Ramu’s Plan and starting illegal transportation of Ganja.
As usually on 30.6.2022 in the morning hours Ramu handed over 106 KGs Ganga which was packed in 49 Packets along with one trolley, auto and driver with instructions to hand over the same to a party in the outskirts of Hyderabad.
On 1.7.2022 in the early morning hours the trolley dropped him at Rayagiri X roads, under the limits of Bhongir Rural Police Station limits and left, while Krishna was waiting for the instruction of Ramu along with Ganja to hand over to buyers, early morning hours on tip off information of Bhongir Rural police along with SOT LB Nagar Zone Team, apprehended the accused person at Rayagiri X roads along with contraband seized 106 Kilograms of Ganja, one Mobile and net Cash Rs.10,200/- from their possession.

Sudhakar, Inspector of Police, SOT-LB Nagar Zone, Mr. T. Venugopal, Inspector of Police, Sub-Inspector Mr. AA Raju, and police personal of Bhongir Rural and SOT, LB Nagar zone, Rachakonda.
