Rachakonda: On receipt of credible information about the children between the age of 15 to 17 years were detained and exploited for labor work in Rishoub Industries situated at Mangalpally Village under the limits of Ibrahimpatnam Police Station. On 18.10.2021 the team of Anti Human Trafficking Unit (AHTU). Rachakonda along with DCPU Ranga Reddy District. Bachpan Bachao Andolan and Childline members have jointly conducted raids on “Rishoub Industries” and rescued 12 minor children out of which Girls are 6, and Boys are 6 and 10 belong to Chattisgarh, and 2 belong to Bihar. All the children were trafficked by the accused persons, detained in sheds located within the premises of the companies, and exploiting them for labor work inhumanly in contravention to the labor laws. As such, the AHTU team of Rachakonda has apprehended the owner of the above company and also Labour Contractor. A case was registered under the Juvenile justice act at Ibrahimpatnam Police Station of Rachakonda Police Commissionerate.
The accused has been identified as N.Bhupesh Jain(44), Owner of the company, and Sunil Kumar Konoujiya (27) Labour Contractor. The accused were arrested on 18.10.2021.
Bhupesh Jain is a native of Rajasthan state and he has been running a manufacturing of Disposal glasses and Thermocol plates company styled as “Rishoub Industries” at Mangalpally (V). Ibrahimpatnam Mandal of RR district. The accused Sunil Kumar is a native of Bihar state and brought 12 victim children from Chattisgarh and Bihar states on behalf of Bhupesh Jain and they do not allow the victim children even to go just outside of the premises.
For which, the owner of the company utilizes the service with child labor for more than 12 hours. But, the local labor doesn’t accept it. Upon that, the owners of companies used to bring the labor including child labor from other states like Chhattisgarh and Bihar, etc. In fact, some of the families who are in poverty and financial crisis also send their children for labor work as there is no alternative to lead their families. Taking that as an advantage, some of the owners of small-scale companies like the accused herein. Bhupesh Jain colluded with the Labour Contractor of Sunil Kumar and brought the minor children for his company, detain them within the premises of his company by arranging temporary sheds and exploit them in labor work from 8 a.m to 10 pm by paying an amount of Rs.270/- for a day to each child labor which is inhuman and contrary to the labor laws.
