Rachakonda: The SHE-Teams of Rachakonda booked 36 cases (20 FIRS, 14 petty cases, and 2 counseling cases) against eve-teasers in the last six weeks and apprehended 31 respondents eve-teasers, out of 27 majors and 04 minors. The respondent eve-teasers have attended the counseling session conducted by Rachakonda SHE teams, at the Commissioner Camp office, Alkapuri X roads, LB Nagar, along with their family members, and they are counseled by the professional counselors from the Bhumika Women’s Collective (NGO). Children in conflict with the law will also be counseled by professional psychiatrist Dr.Vasavi to bring change in their behavior.

This is a case of harassing a minor girl in the name of love by demanding money. One minor girl age about 16 years was studying 10th class, during the time the accused Bachanaboina Sal Kumar alias Sai Vardhan Yadav S/o Late Ramaswamy, age 19 Years, Occ Student R/o Nagarjuna colony, Vanasthalipuram, Ranga Reddy district who used to follow her in the name of love and make friends with her. Finally, he dragged her into love by luring words. After gaining her trust he took an amount of Rs.65,000/- from her on different occasions. While they were moving closely he took some personal pictures with her. The accused is pursuing Intermediate 2nd year at Hastinapuram, who used to get close acquaintance with minor girls through social media apps like Instagram, Facebook, etc., to fulfill his sexual desire with them and collected their phone numbers and he used to chit chat with them, finally, he dragged them on the pretext of love, after gaining their trust then he would demand net cash from them, if they don’t accept for sexual favors, he would threaten them that he will post their photos in social media platforms and he will see their family members end. On her father’s complaint registered a case U/Sec 354, 354-(D), 384, 506-IPC & Sec 11, R/w 12 of POCSO Act-2012 at Hayathnagar Police Station, and the accused was arrested and remanded.
DECOY Operations by our SHE teams:-
Bhongir SHE Team: On 07-04-2021 SHE Team Bhongir conducted Decoy Operation at Urban colony Bhongir town and apprehended three respondents R1. Annampatla Nikhil S/o Annampatla Srinu Age 20 years occ Daily labor R/o 1-5-67, Shruthi Nagar, Bhongir R2. Kondamadugu Srikanth S/o Kondamadugu Swamy Age 18 years Occ. Student R/o 3-132, Bibinagar and R3 Annampatla Ailaiah S/o Annampatla Mallaiah Age 19 years Occ Daily Labour R/o 3-47/1 Muthireddy Gudembazar Baswapur Bhongir rural, while they are creating nuisance at the community hall. Hence registered a petty case U/S 290 IPC at Bhongir Tov Police Station.
Vanasthalipuram SHE Team: On 08-07-2021 Vanasthalipuram SHE Team conducted Decoy Operation at Meerpet and apprehended two minor boys while they were roaming and creating a nuisance and teasing girls at the Meerpet area. Hence they were counseled at Meerpet Police Station as they are minors.
Choutuppal SHE Team: On 08-07-2021 Choutuppal SHE Team conducted Decoy Operation at the Choutuppal Bus stand and apprehended two minor boys while they crating nuisance and teasing girls. Hence they were counseled at Choutuppal Police Station as they are minors.
One Child marriage was stopped by the Bhongir SHE team: Rachakonda SHE teams under the Leadership of Mr. Mahesh M Bhagwat, IPS, Commissioner of Police, Rachakonda and with the cooperation of the Self-help groups an awareness programs were taken up by the SHE Teams Rachakonda to bring awareness among the common people in Prohibition of Child Marriages. In this awareness program, the SHE Teams Rachakonda made the public understand the problems of child marriages and the child marriages alarming in rural areas.
As a success of the above awareness programs in the last six weeks, Bhongir SHE Team Stopped One child marriage at Masaipet village of Yadagirigutta Mandal. As of today a total of 95 Child marriages were stopped by Rachakonda SHE Teams and rescued 95 minor girls from Social evil i.e., child marriages are which were planned to perform at different places by their parents.,
In addition to the above, in the last six weeks a total of 31 Eve teasers were caught by Rachakonda SHE teams in decoy operations and through WhatsApp/SMUC complaints from different areas of Rachakonda while they are teasing girls at different Hotspots like Metro train/ junctions/ Bus stops/Working Places and colleges of the Rachakonda area. All are booked under petty cases/FIRS and counseled by professional counselors of Bhumika Women’s Collective in the presence of their family members. Minors will be counseled by Chief Consultant Psychologist.
