CHENNAI: Railway police confiscated more than 150 star tortoises from the suitcase of a passenger at Chennai Central station on 23 August. Railway police source say, the man, however, managed to escape. The man entered the concourse through the main entrance and was asked to place his suitcase at the baggage scanner. While it was being scanned, he fled the spot. The star tortoises had been wrapped in cloth. They were handed over to Forest Department.]]>
