Chennai: City police have arrested a Southern Railway Kabaddi coach who cheated people into giving those jobs on the railways through a sports quota.
S Jayakanthan, 37, of Ranipet district, allegedly cheated 43 people to the tune of Rs.1.70 crore by lying that he would give them jobs like station master, junior engineer, assistant engineer, ticket collector, mechanic, and RPF staff.
The CCB job fraud unit registered a case and arrested Jayakanthan following a complaint by a man named Vinod Kumar. He was remanded in custody.
