Ramanathapuram, Tamil Nadu, May 20: In a bid to strengthen community relations and promote transparent policing, Ramanathapuram District Superintendent of Police Mr. G. Santheesh, IPS, launched a proactive outreach initiative titled “Ungal Ooril Ungal SP” (Your SP in Your Town).
As part of this initiative, the SP visited Thottiyapatti village in the Kamuthi sub-division, where he held direct interactions with villagers, local leaders, and youth. The event provided residents with a rare opportunity to share their safety concerns, community needs, and personal grievances directly with the District Police Chief.
SP G. Santheesh patiently listened to various public issues, offered on-the-spot solutions, and issued directions to local police officers for immediate and effective resolution of the concerns raised.
This people-centric initiative reflects the Ramanathapuram District Police’s commitment to inclusive, responsive, and community-driven policing. The program aims to build trust, improve service delivery, and ensure that citizen voices are heard and addressed without delay.
