Ramanathapuram: On occasion of 70th Republic Day, the Government of India has announced the President Medals for Police officers and Police Personnel, Tmt.N.Kamini, IPS, Deputy Inspector General of Police, Ramanathapuram range got the President’s Police Medal for Distinguished Service, twenty two officers from Tamilnadu awarded by President’s Police Medal for Meritorious Service.
Police officers are selected at all India level for their distinguished work and these medals are awarded twice a year on Republic Day and Independence Day. These medals are given taking into account overall performance, achievement and reputation.
