Chhattisgarh, Raipur: A one-day range-level training workshop on the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act was successfully conducted in Raipur, jointly organized by the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) and Chhattisgarh Police.
The workshop aimed to enhance the investigative skills of police officers in handling drug-related cases, ensuring effective enforcement of anti-narcotics laws. A total of 63 police officers from various districts under the Raipur Range participated in the training session, which focused on identification, investigation, and legal procedures related to narcotics offenses.
Expert trainers from the Narcotics Control Bureau and senior officials of Chhattisgarh Police provided in-depth insights on various aspects of drug-related crimes, including interrogation techniques, evidence collection, forensic examination, legal provisions under the NDPS Act, and coordination with central agencies for inter-state drug trafficking cases.
During the workshop, officers were also briefed on recent trends in narcotics smuggling, challenges in drug law enforcement, and best practices for strengthening anti-narcotics operations across the state. The interactive session allowed participants to discuss real-case scenarios and receive expert guidance on improving their approach to drug-related investigations.
The successful conclusion of this workshop marks a significant step in strengthening the capabilities of law enforcement personnel in tackling drug crimes and ensuring stringent action against offenders under the NDPS Act.
