Srikakulam, Andhra Pradesh: On the occasion of Rathasaptami celebrations at the Arasavalli Sri Suryanarayana Swamy Temple, the district police ensured fast, peaceful, and hassle-free darshan for devotees who arrived in large numbers. With meticulous planning and strong police arrangements, devotees were able to have darshan without any hindrance.
Under the direct supervision of District Superintendent of Police Shri K.V. Maheshwara Reddy, IPS, special arrangements were made for both free darshan and ₹100 darshan, ensuring smooth movement of queues and orderly access to the temple. Comprehensive traffic management measures, vehicle parking facilities, and safe passage for devotees from the Gara side to the Arasavalli temple were effectively implemented.
The District SP personally monitored crowd management, barricading, traffic regulation, and parking systems through drones and CCTV cameras from the Arasavalli Command and Control Centre. Demonstrating people-friendly policing, he also interacted directly with devotees standing in queue lines, listened to their concerns, and issued clear instructions to officials to ensure safety and uninterrupted darshan.
Owing to the strict and well-coordinated measures taken by the police department, devotees expressed satisfaction at being able to worship the deity in a peaceful, safe, and comfortable environment. The successful conduct of the Rathasaptami celebrations highlights the district police’s efficient planning, dedication, and commitment to public service.
