Tirunelveli: A 12-cent plot owned by a couple Rathinakumar (66) and Porselvi (58) from Palayangottai, Shanti Nagar, cross street is in Munneerpallam area. It was revealed that the land was sold to someone else through a fake document. Also, there is a 3 cent plot in Munneerpallam area owned by Manikam (71) of Arunagirinathar Street, Palayankottai. It was revealed that the land was sold to someone else through a fake document. Similarly, a 4½ cent plot belonging to Rajammal (65) of Srivaikundam, Manakarai area, Thoothukudi district is located in Geelanantham area. It was revealed that the land was sold to someone else through a fake document. The above persons submitted a petition to Tirunelveli District Superintendent of Police Mr. P. Saravanan, IPS to restore the land.
Also, through the camp held on the orders of the District Collector and the District Superintendent of Police, 11 cents of land owned by Velammal (56) of Bharathitheru, Sokkalingapuram, Meleseval, is located in Sokkalingapuram area. It was revealed that the place was sold by preparing a fake document. A petition to restore the said land was filed and investigated and resolved through the Cheranmahadevi District Registrar. Based on the instructions given by District Superintendent of Police to take appropriate action on the petitions to Tirunelveli District Land Grabbing Special Unit Deputy Superintendent of Police Mr. Jayapal Barnabas, Land Grabbing Prevention Special Unit Inspector Mrs. Miral Banu, Assistant Inspectors Mrs. Sophia, and Mr. Murugan, Head Constable Mr. Nagarajan, and the police carried out serious investigation and recovered the land and handed over the document to Tirunelveli District Superintendent of Police Mr. P. Saravanan IPS, who handed over to the land owners on 13.10.2022 at the District Police Office. Tirunelveli District Superintendent of Police Mr. P. Saravanan, IPS, was highly praised by them.
