On 6 Oct.1994 CT Mr. R.N. Basumatary, Constable of 55 BN BSF Assam made the supreme sacrifice in the line of duty in an attack and subsequent gun battle with militants in the central area of Safakadal, Srinagar, Jammu and Kashmir.
On 6 Oct 2014 CT Mr. Mudasir Nazir, Constable of 14 BN BSF Jammu and Kashmir made the supreme sacrifice in the line of duty while chasing a smuggler, he lost his balance and slipped into a deep water and drowned in Dulancha Nallah in the central area of BOP Sonamati, West Bengal.
