Kerala: Police have urged the public not to panic if they become victims of online fraud and to report such incidents immediately to improve the chances of recovering the lost money.
Officials explained that victims can report financial cybercrimes directly through the National Cyber Crime Reporting Portal using the website [National Cyber Crime Reporting Portal](https://cybercrime.gov.in?utm_source=chatgpt.com). The portal allows citizens to register complaints related to all types of online crimes, including financial frauds, and track the progress of their cases.
In addition, the cybercrime helpline number 1930 is available 24 hours a day for immediate assistance.
Police emphasized that timely reporting is crucial in cases of online financial fraud. Reporting the incident quickly enables investigating officers to trace transactions, preserve digital evidence before it is erased, and take prompt action to block or recover the defrauded money.
Authorities have advised the public to remain vigilant online and to immediately report any suspicious financial activity or cyber fraud through the official portal or helpline.
