One of the laborers, Thirkunnapuzha Annai Math Babu, hailing from the Pulimurugan boat, encountered a dreadful accident in the sea west of Chepad NTPC, resulting in a significant loss of blood. Thankfully, the swift response of the Thotapally Coastal Police ensured his timely rescue and subsequent transportation to the shore on the morning of the previous day.
Not only did the police rescue Babu, but they also ensured the safety of the accompanying workers, who were brought ashore using the police boat and later transferred to land via an ambulance. Meanwhile, another laborer named Jagadish, who was aboard the worship boat, experienced considerable physical discomfort while working in the Ambalapuzha sea. Recognizing the urgency of the situation, the Thotapally Coastal Police promptly dispatched a boat to retrieve Jagadish from the sea. Despite his unconscious state upon being brought ashore, the dedicated efforts of the rescue team ensured his safe arrival at the Medical College Hospital, where he is currently undergoing medical treatment.
