BENGALURU: The police department has deployed hundreds of KSRP near the colleges to suppress the protest organized by Akhila Bharatiya Vidyarti Parishad (ABVP) demanding action against Amnesty International, Realising that the ABVP’s announcement that it will intensify its mass protests at Government Girls College at Malleshwaram 13 cross the police have taken precautionary measures and deployed hundreds of police personnel near the college. The ABVP office at Seshadripuram is also being guarded by the police to avoid protest. Santosh Reddy ABVP activist said, “Our fight is not against the police. We are fighting against anti-nationals and demanding for action against them. We will not stop the fight.” The police have given instructions to principals of city colleges not to send students for the protest or rally organized by ABVP. The activist who were trying to enter the colleges were stopped at the entrance by police. However, ABVP activists tied rakhi to police personal posted near the colleges. ]]>
