Ramanathapuram: In Ramanathapuram District, a case was registered at Kenikarai police station regarding the theft of 120 grams of silver items from a house in the Brindavanam area of Pattanamkathan. Following orders from the District Superintendent of Police to swiftly apprehend the four individuals involved, the Ramanathapuram sub-division Crime Squad arrested Mariappan, Balsamy, Sathiya, and Mohammad Kasim. They recovered 120 grams of silver articles from the suspects. Additionally, on July 19, 2024, these four individuals stole jewelry worth Rs.1,01,250 from Vellalur village, which falls under the jurisdiction of the Madurai Sub-District Police Station. The stolen items were recovered and handed over to the Madurai police. District Superintendent of Police Mr. G. Sandish, IPS, commended and rewarded the Crime Branch team for their successful efforts.
