An interactive session was organized by RKSC Safety Security Forum for security leaders of Government and non-government organizations with Chairman Rachakonda Security Council and Commissioner of Police Mr. Mahesh Bhagwat, IPS, Additional Director General of Police on 6th Dec, 2022 at Rachakonda Commissioner ate.

Commissioner of Police, Mr. Mahesh Bhagwat IPS shared that Rachakonda area is a hybrid Commissionerate with presence of important Government establishments, Oil & gas, IT, non IT, Pharma, non-Government Institutes and industries. Major government organizations like CDFD, NGRI, CCMB, IICT, NFC, ECIL, Survey of India IALA at Uppal, Nacharam, Cheralapally, Mallapur, Pharma city which is spread around 14000 acres land etc. located in Rachakonda Commissionerate limits. The Commissionerate is establishing three additional Police stations in Cherlapally, a Women Police station at Uppal and IT corridor Police Station to further enhance the safety and security. New zonal DCPs will also be deputed for Ibrahimpatnam and Maheshwaram.
Mr. Mahesh Bhagwat IPS CP spoke about how awareness helps in prevention of crimes, use of technology and surveillance at offices, business houses, communities and public places to deter criminals. In this context, he mentioned that Hyderabad has the highest number of CCTV Cameras and has one of the best video management systems with advanced analytics that helps in quick resolution of crime cases. It saved many innocents from being framed in false accusations. He invited all the security leads of organizations to join hands with Rachakonda Police to keep the society safe and secure.
He also emphasized about the importance of mock drills and tabletop exercises at organization to help prepare the crisis management team, security team and employees to tackle any kind of adverse eventuality. Further, CP stressed upon the key role DIAL 100 plays in emergencies with a response time of 5-7 mins in urban areas. He recommended that all the organizations should circulate Whatsapp control number 9490617111 amongst their employees for sharing any emergency information with the police department. He believes that organizations should discuss and share the failure stories rather than success stories as failure stories helps in proactive mitigation.
The CP has quoted the increase in number of cyber crime incidents in recent times and highlighted that the majority of the cyber victims are well educated employees. He also shared about the initiative of Rachakonda Security Council, Cyber Yodha (Cyber awareness program) to increase awareness about cyber crimes amongst the citizens.
RKSC General Secretary Mr. Satish Vadlamani highlighted the advantages of RKSC membership program, security core committee formation and information sharing within the member organizations.
Joint Secretary Mr. Ram Kumar emphasized about the importance of knowledge and best practice sharing amongst the member organizations in the physical security domain and high standards of safety and security for people and infrastructure.
