Telangana, Hyderabad: North Zone Traffic Officer G. Shankar Raju emphasized the importance of following traffic rules. On Friday, Hyderabad Commissioner Shri C.V. Anand and Traffic Additional Commissioner of Police Shri Vishwa Prasad, along with Deputy Commissioner of Police Rahul Hegde, delivered a presentation on road accident awareness and prevention for drivers. During this event, they highlighted the safety benefits of traveling by RTC buses, stating that the safety of 40 to 50 passengers lies in the driver’s hands, making cautious driving essential to ensure passengers reach their destinations safely.
Reckless driving is never advisable, as it poses significant danger to everyone on the road. Preventing accidents is a collective responsibility, and following traffic rules is key. Raju urged everyone to prioritize their families’ well-being and consider getting life insurance. He noted that sudden fatalities are often linked to lifestyle changes, poor diet, and lack of physical activity, emphasizing the importance of a balanced diet and regular exercise.
He also stressed the need to avoid driving under the influence of alcohol and advised against signal-jumping and rash driving. Approximately 70 drivers attended the event, along with Deputy RMO Mr. Bheem Reddy, Mr. Bhaskar Reddy, PO Mr. Srinivas, Kushaiguda DM Mahesh, Venkata Prasad, H.G. Officer, and other staff members.
