Palakkad, Kerala: In a proactive effort to ensure peaceful elections and enhance public confidence, the Kerala Police, along with the Central Armed Forces, conducted a joint route march within the limits of the Mannarkad Police Station ahead of the 2026 Assembly elections.
The march commenced from Kunthipuzha and passed through key areas including Kothipady and Kallamkuzhi, covering major streets to create visibility and reassurance among the public.
Led by senior police officers and Central force commanders, the initiative aimed to instill a sense of security among voters, enabling them to exercise their democratic rights freely and without fear, while also deterring anti-social elements.
Officials stated that similar security measures, checks, and patrols will be intensified across various parts of the jurisdiction in the coming days, reinforcing the commitment to free, fair, and peaceful elections.
