Jayakumar, M.Sc, (Agri)., attended the Annual Sports Festival held at Thiruvarur, Thiruvarur VK Government Arts College as the special guest and delivered a keynote speech. Speaking on the occassion, the District Superintendent of Police said that as students, you should work hard to excel in academics and discipline. He said that one should read more books to develop knowledge. Due to the high number of road accidents, everyone must follow the road rules, wear a helmet while riding a two-wheeler, wear a seat belt while riding a four-wheeler, and highlighted the effects of using drugs. He created awareness about the cybercrime-related online crimes, not to accept an unknown person as a friend on social networking sites, and the consequences thereof.
