Kakinada: On the night of Thursday, May 4th, 2023, Akula Geetha Sri found herself in a difficult situation as there was no transportation available for her and her elderly parents to go back home from Kakinada. Understanding the urgency of the matter, the District SP Mr. S. Satish Kumar, IPS, instructed the Women Drop at Home team – women personnel on night duty – to assist Akula Geetha Sri and her parents in reaching their home safely.
With just one phone call, the Women Drop at Home team promptly arranged their dedicated vehicle to transport Akula Geetha Sri and her parents to their residence. The team of women police officers went out of their way to ensure that Akula Geetha Sri and her parents reached home safely and comfortably. This act of kindness and dedication displayed by the Women Drop at Home team has been highly appreciated by the community.
