CHENNAI: Mr. Sanjeev Kumar, Additional Director-General of Police, ADGP, passed away at a city hospital here on Sunday. 55-year-old Mr. Sanjeev Kumar, IPS, had been suffering from cancer and died without responding to treatment. Sanjeev Kumar hails from Ranchi in Jharkhand. He belongs to the 1986 batch. He was in TN as an Assistant Superintendent of Police, ASP, Dindugal rural division. From 1991 to 1999 he served in the Research and Ananlysis Wing (RAW). Since 2009, he had been deputed at the police headquarters in the city for administration related work. Mr. Edappadi K Palaniswami, Chief Minister, Tamil Nadu, in a letter expressed his condolences to the family.
