Gariyaband: Through the public meetings, the general public is directly meeting the Superintendent of Police.
The people are satisfied with the immediate redressal of their complaints. During the meeting, a total of 6 complaints were lodged by the people who came from different police station areas, which were resolved immediately.
As per the intention of the government, under the leadership of the Superintendent of Police Mr. J.R. Thakur IPS, a public meeting was organized by Gariyaband District Police on the second Wednesday from 11 am to 2 pm regarding complaints related to the problems and crimes of the general public.
On the second Wednesday, a public meeting was organized in the old superintendent of police’s office, Gariyaband in which about 200 people from different police station areas were present. Today, a total of 6 complaints have been filed in which complaints have been received regarding land-related, fraud, final report, demand letter by women commandos, and taking the proper action in the case of theft. On the said complaint, the Superintendent of Police made a team of gazette officers and station in-charges and directed them for necessary action.
It was told by the Superintendent of Police that the main objective of the public meetings is to connect the police among the people and to create a safe environment in society. If the police reach the last end of the society and make them aware. If the people cooperate, then the concept of crime and a fear-free society can be made.
Additional Superintendent of Police Gariyaband Mr. Chandresh Singh Thakur IPS, Sub Divisional Officer Police Gariaband Mr. Pushpendra Nayak, Defense Inspector Mr. Umesh Rai, Steno Mr. Shivendra Rajput were present in the public meeting office.
