The 1st ODI first Match is to be held on 18-1-2023 (Day & Night match) between India Vs New Zealand at Rajiv Gandhi International Cricket Stadium at Uppal. The stadium has approximately 39,000 seating capacity. In order to avoid any untoward incidents during the match day, a series of unprecedented measures were taken up at Uppal cricket stadium for the smooth run of one day International Match. Elaborate bandobust arrangements are being made in coordination with different wings, like security wing (250), traffic (403), law and order (1091), TSSP 4 Platoons, armed forces (6 platoons), Octopus 2 teams, Mounted Police-10, Vajra-10, and other wings SB, CCS staff, SOT, and 2 fire tenders with fire fighting squad. Total of about 2500 Police persons are deployed for bandobust.
In and around the stadium, a total of 300 CCTV cameras are being installed including the places at vehicle check points, parking places to cover the entire area. A Joint command & control room is also established at South side at G-6 Box to monitor all the CCTV footages for taking immediate action. (IT Inspector and teams). Anti sabotage checks with the help of B.D teams would continue round the clock until the match is completed. Effective communication system is being maintained with the allocation of VHF sets to every Sub-Inspector and above rank for quick response and also a control room was installed. The scanners installed at the stadium will allow police and other security personnel to detect explosives and other prohibited material inside the venue. The services of bomb disposal team and sniffer dogs were pressed into service to ensure safety in the stadium and parking places.
Check posts were set up at all the entry points of stadium to carry out anti sabotage check and frisking of persons. An escort vehicle of law and order is being arranged along with escort vehicle of City Security Wing. A Road Clearance Party, specifically for route clearance was spared for congestion free entry and exit of the players and VIPs, VVIPs into the stadium. Separate teams are being deployed for checking the movements of antisocial elements.In this match deploying 4 mobile technician at each gate for checking of spectators mobile phones.
Additional bandobusth arrangements were made in and around the stadium round the clock with octopus, NGS teams. Mounted Police force are deployed at gate No’s- 1, 3, 4, 7 & 8 for effective bandobusth.
Metro rail authorities have extended their timings for spectators. The spectators are not allowed to carry the things as follows(Banned Items): Laptops,Banners,Water Bottles, Cameras,Cigarettes,Electronic Items,Matchbox,Binoculars, Lighters,Sharp metal/plastic objects,Coins, Writing Pens, Batteries,Helmets,Perfumes,
Bags, and outside Eatables. A separate SHE Teams/Anti-Eve-Teasing team has been established in order to control the eve teasing against woman. A separate vendor supervising teams are established to control the vendors and their rates as prescribed by the authorities. The antecedents of the personnel, who are being engaged by the sponsors/vendors related to the this match, are being thoroughly checked and passes with photos were issued to them. Exchange of accreditation Cards is strictly prohibited and replacement of personnel is not allowed and cases also booked against change of passes. Adequate signage boards will be erected at different places to make the viewers reach stadium easily.
The viewers are not being allowed to park any vehicles on either sides of the main road from Genpact to Uppal ring road and Uppal Ring Road to Vishal Mart, Ramanthapur and the vehicles have parked at specified by the TSIIC parking areas only. Gates should be opened and spectators allowed in to the stadium by 1030 hours on the day. Total 4 ambulances are kept in and around the stadium i.e near Gate no. 1&2, Gate no. 3, Gate no. 7, Gate no. 11 for immediate medical service to spectators. Total 4 Fire engines are kept inside the stadium i.e near Gate no. 10, Gate no. 3, Gate no. 7 and at Parking area in order to curtail any kind of fire incidents.The revenue officials in co-ordination with police have taken part for smooth conducting match by identifying the sufficient parking places and they have also requested to fogging at stadium premises on the match day. Keeping the one-day International Match in view, the GHMC officials Uppal have taken proper measure in removing debris/garbage’s in & around the stadium for smooth conduct of matches.
Vendors/hackers prohibited outside stadium and special teams are moving and they should watch on the movement of block tickets and pick up them. Points related to HCA authorities:- The HCA have ensure to provide sufficient tents, chairs and drinking water to all the spectators and police personal. The HCA have erected sufficient lighting, CCTV Cameras along with the private security personals at all parking places in order to avoid vehicle and mobile thefts. The HCA have provided and erected sufficient barricading at all entry, exist and parking areas for the “Q” line maintenance to avoid the crowed gathering. The HCA have erected sufficient signage boards at all the main roads from Habsiguda to Uppal,L.B. Nagar to Uppal, Madipally to Uppal, Ramanthapur to Stadium with proper arrow marks and text in night visible manner.Parking Lots Approximately parking place for sufficient vehicles both two wheeler and four wheeler is identified and arrangements are done for free flow of the traffic during the match day.
The car pass holders of outer gate 1 & 2 should come from Ramanthapur side (LG Godown/Modern Bakery) and park their vehicles in parking A & B inside the stadium. If the parking A & B inside the stadium is full, then they should go towards gate:11 via gate 1 and park their four vehicles in a private land. The two wheelers of gate 1 & 2 will park their vehicles in parking – B at NSL parking place. The physically challenged viewers, who possess passes are suggested to enter from Ramantapur road and can enter into the stadium through outer gate No- 3 (Service entry) after parking their vehicles at Parking place-B. The viewers whoever hold passes for entry through gate No’s- G- 4 to G- 10 should enter the stadium from Habsiguda- Uppal main road (via Ek-Minar) and park their vehicles at Little Flower Junior College, or Ramanthapur Church ground general parking place. Heavy goods vehicles which would come from LB Nagar and Warangal routes would not be allowed towards Habsiguda during match timings even in their entry time. They will be diverted as per the instructions of ADCP-Traffic. Heavy goods vehicles coming from ECIL, Kushaiguda, to Cherlapally towards Uppal X road are being diverted via Mallapur bridge, Chengicherla X (Warangal route) and LB Nagar junctions. The above restrictions will be in force on the match day.
