Manipur: Efforts have been made to ensure the smooth and secure transit of 209 vehicles carrying essential goods along National Highway-2. Stringent security measures have been implemented at all vulnerable locations, and a dedicated security convoy has been assigned to safeguard sensitive stretches, thereby facilitating unrestricted and safe movement of the vehicles.
To fortify the overall security situation, a comprehensive network comprising a total of 135 checkpoints has been strategically installed across various districts of Manipur, encompassing both the hill and valley regions. These checkpoints serve as crucial monitoring points to regulate and monitor the movement of individuals and vehicles.
In response to detected violations, law enforcement authorities have taken decisive action by detaining 173 individuals in different districts of the state. This proactive approach aims to uphold the rule of law and maintain a secure environment for the populace, ensuring the effective enforcement of regulations and promoting public safety along the transportation routes.
