Rachakonda: On July 9, 2023, at 17:30 hours, a suspect named Mohammed Shabuddin Ansari (26) s/o Jainuddin Ansari, a resident of Kandukur village & Mandal, RR District, Native of Masanya village, Mandro Post, Mirza chouki T.Q., Sahebganj District, Jharkhand state. He was apprehended at LB Nagar Bus stop during a vehicle check. He was behaving suspiciously and was found in possession of a country-made pistol, intending to sell it illegally for personal gain. The authorities seized an automatic pistol, one live round, one empty cartridge, two empty magazines, and a mobile phone from his possession. A case was filed against the accused at LB Nagar Police Station under Rachakonda Police Commissionerate.

On July 9, 2023, around 17:30 hours, while the LB Nagar Crime staff were conducting patrolling duties at LB Nagar Bus stop, they noticed the accused Mohammed Shabuddin Ansari from Jharkhand state acting suspiciously with a bag in his hand. They immediately apprehended him and upon searching, found him in possession of a pistol, a live round, an empty round, and an empty magazine. Preliminary investigation revealed that the accused, who had migrated to Hyderabad from Jharkhand for employment, was facing financial difficulties. He had traveled to Bihar and purchased a country-made pistol with live ammunition from an unknown individual, intending to sell it illegally in Hyderabad for profit. Upon arriving at Secunderabad by train, he took a bus to LB Nagar.
However, before boarding another bus to Kandukur on July 9, 2023, he was apprehended and the weapon was seized. His plan was to sell these illegal weapons to those in need for easy money. The police are currently investigating the exact source of the weapon and his intended targets. The accused has been arrested, and the case is under investigation under the direct supervision of Commissioner of Police, Rachakonda, Mr. D.S Chouhan, IPS, Jt. Commissioner of Police, Rachakonda, Mr. V. Satyanarayana, IPS, DCP LB Nagar, Mrs. B Sai Sree, and ACP LB Nagar, Mr. P Sreedhar Reddy. The Commissioner of Police commended the Inspector of Police, LB Nagar, Detective Inspector of Police, and the staff of LB Nagar Police Station for the immediate arrest of the accused, and they may be suitably rewarded.
