Serchhip: The synergy among all stake holders as well as willing public support is crucial in the fight against all kinds of crimes and criminals in the society. Aiming at rejuvenating VDPs, last night Serchhip Police initiated joint patrolling with Serchhip Town area VDP Units within Serchhip Town under the guidance of OC Serchhip Police Station.
This practice will be continued in other PS/OP jurisdictions of the State as well. In the past, VDP units had done many good works in prevention of crimes and other illegal activities, assisting day-to-day policing. The Mizoram Police appreciated the initiative of Serchhip Police. This initiative is worth replicable in all other districts of the state.
