The Police are taking various legal actions on them. In that respect, 13 cases have been filed by Nagapattinam district police on the persons who are spreading rumors on social media or public sites regarding the Coronavirus infection in Nagapattinam district and are taking legal action on them.
In this situation District Police Superintendent Mr. Selvanagarathinm IPS have released an announcement in which he has stated that in the coming days’ strict legal action will be taken on the persons who are spreading rumors on social media or public sites regarding Coronavirus which may cause fear in the people. In the same way, the details of the people who are coming into the district without taking the e-pass from other districts and from other states and especially from Chennai can be given through the number 1077. He said that the people can lodge their complaints regarding the above-mentioned matter through the number.
