Telangana, Hyderabad: Based on credible information that individuals were trafficking women and girls from Bangladesh, West Bengal, and other states for organized prostitution, a raid was conducted by the Anti-Human Trafficking Unit (AHTU), Hyderabad, on 08-11-2024. The operation took place at Hotel Akshaya, Lakdikapool, Hyderabad, where the organizer Saleem Mondal, his wife Maria Inchem (sub-organizer), three sex workers (victim women), a customer, along with evidence including three used condoms, eleven mobile phones, one DVR, and a small quantity of ganja, were found in rooms 104 and 204. All suspects, including the organizers, victims, customer, and seized items, were handed over to the Saifabad Police Station for further action.
The accused persons involved are the 2 Organizers, 1 Main trafficker and 1 customer.
The Organizers are Salim Mondal, 36, Occupation: Brothel house organizer, and Maria Imchem, 27, Occupation: Brothel house sub-organizer, both are Bangladeshi nationals.
The Main Trafficker, Suman Kumar Guru, alias Ravi Kumar is involved in trafficking women from Bangladesh, and is currently absconding.
The customer was identified as Nadipudi Naga Narasimhababu, 27, Private Job employee.
The victims were identified as:
Victim 1, age 22, currently unemployed.
Victim 2, age 20, employed in a private job, originally from West Bengal.
Victim 3, age 21, originally from Assam.
The raid was led by ACP B. Anjaneyulu, with participation from AHTU staff members MD Aziz, SI of Police, Central Zone WPS, S. Bhupal Reddy (HC 7775), B. Raj Kumar (PC 4540), M. Naresh Kumar (PC 5619), G. Divaker (PC 3716), B. Sai Kumar (PC 6119), and Chandrakala (WHG 4214).
